The 22.2m octagonal helideck on Ensco 122 jack up rig was previously designed, fabricated and assembled by HAL in 2013 at Keppel fels shipyard Singapore. The end user, Ensco Offshore came back to us to supply the TD/PM Circle & H Marking Lighting system for the helideck to comply with new lighting requirements in CAP437 (7th edition, Appendix C).
Our scope of supply for this after-sales project included: Supply of TD/PM Circle & H Marking Lighting System, Site Supervision and Testing & Commissioning.
The lighting system was supplied and delivered by HAL on site at Rotterdam in mid of September 2014.
Our project site engineer, Muaz Sharizan supervised the installation which was carried-out by 5 skilled workers from client’s yard. The whole installation process was completed smoothly within 5 days which was ahead of the previously planned schedule of 14 days. In October, the testing & commissioning for the Circle & H lighting system was done by IMT in 2 days.
This is our first overseas supervision job for the TD/PM Circle & H Lighting System. Howard Allson Ltd is currently the only company approved by UK CAAi for C&H installation methodology.
