Howard Allson Ltd Delivers Gina Krog Helideck

Description

Gina Krog is an oil and gas field located approximately 30km north of the Sleipner, in the Central North Sea.

The Gina Krog Topside helideck is a fully Norsok compliant XE Enhanced Safety™ helideck with built in passive fire suppression. The helideck is located at the west side of LQ and consists of a pancake on a beam grid and trussed upper support structure, built in aluminium.

Our Norwegian partners, Apply Leirvik A/S, built the aluminium living quarters while the helideck package was awarded to Howard Allson LTD to design and build for a 26.1m XE Enhanced Safety™ helideck incorporating an approximately 3.5m high aluminium support truss with a full perimeter walkway.

The helideck is designed to cater for Sikorsky S92 helicopter operations with maximum take-off weight of 15tons.

The helideck was lifted onto Gina Krog Living Quarter (LQ) at APPLY Leirvik site at Stord, Norway in February 2016.
