Sembcorp Marine recently delivered the fixed platform topsides for high-pressure, high-temperature (HP/HT) Culzean gas condensate field in the UK sector of the Central North Sea, one of UK’s largest remaining untapped resources. This is a standalone development consists of three bridge-linked platforms concept, which many believe could drive more on an area-wide cluster development for maximized recovery.
We are proud to be awarded the design and supply of a 22.8m XE Enhanced Safety helideck on the Separate Utilities and Living Quarters Platform (ULQ) for this development. This is also our first helideck designed to meet UK CAA CAP 437 8th Edition since its release in December 2016. Built for helicopter type AgustaWestland AW101 with MTOM of 15.6mt, the helideck also meets the stringent requirements of Maersk Oil Design Engineering Standards (MODES), Maersk Oil Technical Standards and ISO 19901/19902 offshore standards.
